CANTRAIN – CANadian Consortium of Clinical Trial TRAINing platform

CANTRAIN is a national initiative aimed at improving career preparedness in randomized controlled trials (RCTs) by training postgraduate students, clinical researchers, and professionals in clinical trial methodologies.

ACT – Accelerating Clinical Trials Canada

ACT is a pan-Canadian initiative that brings together researchers, clinical trial units, and industry partners to improve the efficiency and quality of clinical trials in Canada.

IMPaCT – Increasing Capacity for Maternal and Paediatric Clinical Trials

IMPaCT is a Canadian research training platform focused on building capacity for conducting clinical trials in maternal and pediatric health, enhancing research and medical treatments for these populations.

RI-MUHC – Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre

The RI-MUHC is a world-class biomedical research center affiliated with McGill University, focusing on innovative research programs in healthcare and patient outcomes.

CBRC – Community-Based Research Centre

The CBRC is a Canadian organization that conducts community-based research to improve the health of sexual and gender minorities through education, advocacy, and research initiatives.

BPC – Black Physicians of Canada

BPC is an organization that represents and supports Black physicians and medical trainees across Canada, promoting equity in healthcare and addressing health disparities affecting Black communities.

CAMCCO – Canadian Maternal Child Cohort Hub

CAMCCO is a research initiative that integrates data from multiple sources to study maternal and child health, aiming to inform healthcare policies and improve outcomes in Canada.

WHC – Women’s Health Coalition

The WHC is a Canadian organization advocating for better healthcare policies and research for women’s health. It focuses on improving access to healthcare, equity, and research in women’s health issues.

CPCN – Canadian Postpregnancy Clinical Network

CPCN is a research network focused on improving post-pregnancy health outcomes through collaboration in clinical practice, policy-making, and research.

MICYRN – Maternal Infant Child Youth Research Network

MICYRN is a national research network that supports and advances clinical and health research for mothers, infants, children, and youth in Canada.

NCCMT – National Collaborating Centre for Methods and Tools

The NCCMT is one of six national centers in Canada focused on providing public health professionals with evidence-based tools and resources to improve decision-making and health outcomes.

SOGC – Society of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists of Canada

The SOGC is a professional organization representing obstetricians, gynecologists, and healthcare professionals in Canada. It develops guidelines, provides education, and advocates for women’s reproductive health.

CanReview

CanReview is a pan-Canadian collaboration supported by the Accelerating Clinical Trials (ACT) Consortium to enable a single research ethics review for multi-site clinical trials conducted across Canada.

Global Clinical Trials Forum

The Global Clinical Trials Forum (GCTF) is a World Health Organization (WHO) managed network. The network aims to enable activities of partners for implementation of WHO’s Guidance for Best Practices for Clinical Trials, guidance developed at the request of World Health Assembly resolution WHA 75.8. The Global Action Plan for Clinical Trial Ecosystem Strengthening re-articulates the WHO guidance in the form of key actions for implementation.
